A DNS label (lowercase letters, digits, dashes). Unique within your organization — two organizations can each have a prod.
'hyve reconciling-cluster'
A reconciling cluster is the Kubernetes cluster hyve-controller reconciles an organization’s ClusterDefinitions, templates, workflows, and resources on — separate from the cluster hyve-api’s own pods run on. An organization can keep several stored and switch between them by name, without re-entering a kubeconfig each time. Cluster mode only.
Two command sets:
add/list/use/remove/current— an organization admin managing the clusters of the organization they’re acting in (hyve organization use, or--org <name>for one command; a superadmin can act in any organization).pool ...— a superadmin managing the install-wide pool, whose clusters are assigned to an organization withhyve organization migrate.
hyve reconciling-cluster add
Store one of your organization’s clusters. Adding never switches to it.
hyve reconciling-cluster add <name> --kubeconfig-file <path><name> string required --kubeconfig-file string required Path to the cluster’s kubeconfig, or - to read from stdin. Never echoed back by any endpoint once stored.
Re-running add for an existing name rotates its kubeconfig (kubeconfigs expire and get regenerated), taking effect immediately if it’s the active cluster.
hyve reconciling-cluster list / current
hyve reconciling-cluster list # your stored clusters, marking the active onehyve reconciling-cluster current # just the active one, or "(home cluster)"list shows each cluster’s server address, reachability, and Kubernetes version, checked on a recurring interval by hyve-api. A pool cluster a superadmin assigned to you directly also appears while it’s active, labeled pool.
hyve reconciling-cluster use
Switch your organization onto a stored cluster, or back onto the control plane’s own home cluster.
hyve reconciling-cluster use <name>hyve reconciling-cluster use --homehyve reconciling-cluster remove
hyve reconciling-cluster remove <name>Permanently deletes a stored cluster and its kubeconfig. The active cluster can’t be removed — use another one first.
Pool (superadmin)
hyve reconciling-cluster pool add <name> --kubeconfig-file <path> # register, or rotate an existing onehyve reconciling-cluster pool list # every cluster install-wide, labeled with its ownerhyve organization migrate <org> --reconciling-cluster <name> # assign a pool cluster to an organizationExample
hyve reconciling-cluster add k3s --kubeconfig-file ~/k3s.yamlhyve reconciling-cluster add civo --kubeconfig-file ~/civo.yamlhyve reconciling-cluster use civohyve reconciling-cluster list# (home cluster)# civo (organization) ← active# k3s (organization)The web console’s Reconciling cluster page does the same: New reconciling cluster adds one (optionally switching to it), and each stored cluster has Switch to, Replace kubeconfig, and Remove actions.
